- Role – Lighting Board Operator
This was my first dramatic (non-musical) production. The play is about female French resistance fighters in a concentration camp during the second world war.
The production was shown at my high school over multiple days. We were selected by independent judges to represent Rhode Island in the New England Drama Festival, a regional showcase.
Set pieces and props I worked on/built:
- Building and finishing the bunk beds (key set piece)
- Helped assemble and paint a rolling wall.
Most pieces were made from wood and plywood. The sets and props were deliberately spartan due to the nature of the play.
Lighting:
- Operated a manual spotlight.
- Provided feedback/input on all other scenes.
