I’ve attended the Boston Fan Expo for quite a few years. It’s where I was lucky enough to meet amazing people like Stan Lee, Alex Kingston, Catherine Tate, the legendary Tim Curry and others.
A lot of the time I go for more of a glamorous look, but this was a year of change. I wanted to do something just a little teensy, eenie-weenie bit different. I also had a busy summer with limited time as my brother was graduating from university, my cousin was getting married, and I had a full time summer job.
I still managed to have some fun with it though.
My decision was to dress as Thor. But not regular Thor. I dressed as “Fat Thor” from Avengers: Endgame. For those of you that avoided the movie, Thor has rather lost his mojo and let himself go. Mjolnir was destroyed and he misses it terribly.
So naturally I had to make a deliberately shoddy Mjolnir replica (made by Thor himself) expressing everything Thor wants to say. By the time I’d added the full beard, I was pretty much anonymous. I had a lot of fun with that!
