This show was a turning point. We had previously had an adult volunteer who did much of the lighting design. They had moved on, so now the lighting design was handled by students. This was the first show where I got to design a few cues.
Set pieces and props I worked on/built:
- Multiple trees of different shapes and types (5+)
- A moon
- The torture pinwheel (built and painted)
- A pair of swinging doors
- General set building and painting
Most pieces were made from wood, plywood, newspaper and canvas. I also got to work very closely with our Technical Director.
Lighting:
- Designed multiple cues
- Provided feedback/input on all other scenes
- Operated lights and followed cue sheets during rehearsals and live performances.
